I'm very excited about my engagement with the e-F@ctory Alliance. I am looking for the right partners that want to join me in the pursuit of seamless information integration and interoperability in this new world of the digital transformation. Check out this powerful video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUt3Ex3-6xY) that gives you an overview of the power of e-F@ctory. I am looking for end-users, system integrators and suppliers that want to be engaged in the the digital transformation and really move smart manufacturing across international boundaries to the next level.
The new manufacturing revolution is leveraging machine automation and digital engineering to truly make a smart factory a reality! Smart manufacturing is broken up into a variety of components inclusive of predictive maintenance, energy management and information efficiency. These are all great components that all of us understand but the reality is most factories leverage very little of these key components. End-users have a good understanding of industry 4.0 but the actual deployment making real smart factories is still at the theoretical level.
Why? The problem is the issues are so complex and diverse that people don't know where to start! There seems to be a missing component that we now call human knowledge. The importance of this human knowledge providing the necessary creativity and innovation to the machine automation and digital engineering components really will give you the smart factory that you've always dreamed about! Mitsubishi has leveraged KAIZEN to bring together the e-F@ctory. This is an innovative manufacturing approach that starts on the factory floor! The Digital Transformation is here today and can be realized with e-F@ctory.
My vision of achieving manufacturing excellence and really leveraging the digital transformation molding the smart factories has always rrequired open industry standards and collaboration with standards organizations and most importantly suppliers partnering together to bring together a total solution architecture.
I'm encouraging everyone to start really leveraging e-F@ctory and the multitude of industry standards to leverage the digital transformation to make smart manufacturing a reality. End-users and system integrators need to be able to take advantage of the key components of smart manufacturing inclusive of preventative maintenance, condition based monitoring, energy management and information efficiency as we collectively work together to take data from the factory floor to leverage the power of the IT/OT convergence in the digital transformation.
